Funk/Soul Musician Brief

As both the genre and the musicians i am using on my EP have changed I have had to create new briefs for the musicians i am working with. 

For Vocalist (Lucia Tillson)

The genre of music we will be working on together will be a fusion of Funk and Soul. I'd like the lyrics and vibes of the song to be somewhat similar to the work of Rex Orange County. As we are working on this project as a collective I will largely expect you to take a lead in lyric writing however I will of course assist you in doing so if needed. You will be needed on three out of the three tracks. Two of them featuring a drummer,guitarist and bassist and the final just being guitar and vocals. Preferably i'd like to try and avoid cliches in the lyrics you/we write. You will be working on this project with me as a creative member of the project and your say will have a big impact on the direction of the sound of the music.

For Drummer (Nathaniel Ruben)

The genre of music we will be working on together will be a fusion of Funk and Soul. As my abilities and knowledge on drumming is very limited you will be completely reliable for all drum parts in the song. You will be required to play on two of three tracks off the EP. These two tracks will also feature a guitarist, bassist and vocalist. You will be working on this project with me as a creative member of the project and your say will have a big impact on the direction of the sound of the music. 

For Bassist (Ali Smyth)

The genre of music we will be working on together will be a fusion of Funk and Soul. My knowledge on how bass lines are written is some what limited especially compared to your own knowledge. You will be expected to be write appropriate bass lines that fit with the written music and genre. Due to your superior knowledge on music any input and help in driving the EP creatively would be appreciated. You will be required to play on two of the three tracks off the EP which will also feature a vocalist, drummer and guitarist. You will be working on this project with me as a creative member of the project and your say will have a big impact on the direction of the sound of the music.
